In or around 1968, John Fiddler with Medicine Head began performing the blues and rock and roll songs in pubs and clubs in and around Birmingham. Radio DJ John Peel saw Fiddler and Hope-Evans perform at the Lafayette Club and later shared their music with John Lennon, Eric Clapton and Pete Townshend. 

Egypt is a three-piece Blues Rock band that have been on-the-circuit since 1987. All three members of the band were also ex-members of the legendary British band, The Groundhogs. We’re talking about experience and class of the highest order which led to such a huge international following worldwide. EGYPT is one of the finest blues-rock bands!
